How it works:

Manually: edit the number or dimension parts using the keyboard. The color coding of the units will help you to avoid syntax errors.

Using units table:

• select first - the category and  then - the unit you need.

• click on Numerator or Denominator (double click on required unit row is the same as Numerator)

Target field is empty, because there is no conversion defined.

To delete only the units in the source field, click on X.
