Purpose: To change units into equivalent base ones. The value of the target always is equal to the source, because all the transformations of the dimension do not change the overall dimension.
Right table contains all the units which have base units (m, kg, s, A, K, mol, cd) representation. So when included in target, the left side goes as numerator and base units equivalence - as denominator or vice versa.
|
How it works: 1. When you enter the tab, the source is converted to SI units. 2. Then each unit which has base-units representation
is replaced with equivalent base units - "Replaced Units" table. 3. You can include in target dimension units from right table with the help of two buttons. Every inclusion will keep overall target dimension unchanged. All included units are listed in "Included Units" table. To remove one (or more) replaced or included units, select row(s) and press Delete. To reinitiate the utility (as you have just enter it), click on = between the source and the target. |
